Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Slabscope returns AI-generated estimates of how a trading card might grade if submitted to a third-party grading company (PSA, CGC, BGS, TAG, AGS, ACE, or others). These estimates are derived from photos you upload and historical data, and are intended as decision-support for collectors and resellers.

Slabscope is not a grading company. We do not issue slabs, certifications, or population numbers. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any grading company we reference. Our predictions may differ from the actual grade a card receives.

Slabscope is not financial advice. Outputs include estimated values and expected-value calculations based on third-party market data; these are illustrative, may be stale, and should not be the sole basis for any purchase, submission, or sale decision.

You may use the Service without an account on the free tier (subject to rate limits). To save grades, track submissions, subscribe to a paid plan, or use any portfolio feature, you must create an account via email one-time-code or supported OAuth providers (e.g., Google).

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the confidentiality of any access credentials to your account.

Paid plans (Collector, Pro, Breaker) are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through our payments provider Stripe. Plan limits, overage rates, and features are described on our pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.

Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not pro-rate refunds for partial months except as described in our Refund Policy.

We reserve the right to change prices for new billing cycles with at least 14 days' advance notice to active subscribers.

You agree not to:

• Upload images that you do not have the right to use, or that depict anything other than trading cards (the Service is built and licensed for card content only).
• Use the Service to scrape, replicate, or rebuild a competing grading service.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, billing, or authentication via automation, multiple accounts, or technical exploits.
• Interfere with the Service's operation, including denial-of-service attempts, reverse engineering of our models, or unauthorized access to other accounts.
• Resell, white-label, or redistribute Slabscope output without an explicit written license.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules at our discretion.

You retain ownership of the card photos and metadata you upload ("Your Content"). You grant Slabscope a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to process, store, and analyze Your Content for the purpose of operating the Service, improving model accuracy in aggregate (in a de-identified form), and providing the features you have requested.

We do not sell Your Content. We do not use Your Content to train third-party AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

All Slabscope-developed code, design, documentation, brand elements, and AI-generated grade reports (excluding Your Content) are owned by Slabscope and protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may share generated reports publicly (the share-link feature is provided for that purpose), but you may not strip Slabscope branding or watermarks from exported assets.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slabscope disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising out of course of dealing.

Specifically, Slabscope makes no warranty that AI-predicted grades will match actual grades issued by any grading company, that estimated values reflect realized sale prices, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Slabscope's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Slabscope in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Slabscope is not liable for grading-fee losses, missed sales, lost profits, or other indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from reliance on the Service's output, including but not limited to a card returning at a different grade than predicted.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Slabscope, its officers, and contractors from any claim, damages, or expense arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any third-party right (including intellectual property rights in cards or images you upload).

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, for fraudulent or abusive activity, or if continuing your access would create legal or operational risk. On termination, paid subscriptions cease at the end of the current billing period unless terminated for cause.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email (for account holders) or via a notice on the site at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Subject to your statutory rights as a consumer, any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer based in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights, including those under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and (if applicable) the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
